Terra Moons Photo voltaic Cosmic Chameleons Evaluations & Swatches (Half 1 of two)

Antares

Terra Moons Antares Cosmic Chameleon Shadow ($ 13.00 for 0.05 oz.) Has a bright pink-coral base with a shimmer that alternates between chartreuse green and gold, paired with a metallic finish. It was richly pigmented where a little went a long way while the texture was soft, smooth, and miscible without being squeezed into the pan too firmly or too loosely.

The shift was noticeable without having to search for it, while maintaining a visible base color. It carried well for eight and a half hours before it faded a little.

Formula overview

$ 13.00 / 0.05 oz. – – $ 260.00 per ounce

The formula is supposed to be a cross between “vibrant metallic and iridescent chameleon,” so they have a stronger color base but a multichrome shift. The brand recommended applying them over an eyeshadow primer and in a thin layer to “intensify the shift,” although I personally didn’t find the primer necessarily affecting the shift as they were obviously used on their own.

They were richly pigmented with a soft, smooth consistency that was slightly emollient but not too thick or too tightly packed in the pan so it was easy to pick up the product with a dry brush as well as fingertips / dampened brushes if desired. The eye shadow was applied evenly to the bare skin and faded out well at the edges.

The lively, more colorful base has made it easier to combine these with other eyeshadows as well. Those who find multichrome daunting can start with this type of multichrome. They lasted between seven and eight hours before they creased visibly.

breaking Dawn

Terra Moons Daybreak Cosmic Chameleon Shadow ($ 13.00 for 0.05 oz.) Is a pale yellow with subtle, warm undertones with shimmer that alternates between dirty green, chartreuse, gold, and orange, paired with a soft, metallic finish. The finish wasn’t as shiny or metallic as most of the brand’s eye shadows (watch it, no pros or cons).

The texture was soft, loosely pressed and powdery with very little precipitation during application. For the most part, it had an opaque, buildable pigmentation that was applied evenly to bare skin and masked out well. This hue stayed on well for eight hours before noticeably fading.

Scorched sun

Terra Moons Sun Scorched Cosmic Chameleon Shadow ($ 13.00 for 0.05 oz.) Has a darker, bronze base with a sheen that alternates between gold, olive green, and copper, paired with a soft, metallic sheen. The texture was soft, smooth, and mixable without pressing too hard into the pan, but it wasn’t powdery.

It had an opaque paint coverage in a single layer that was applied evenly and easily spread along the edges. It took a good eight and a half hours before it visibly faded.
