Natasha Denona Work and Set Gel Eyeliner Opinions & Samples

Naked

Natasha Denona Nude Work and Set Gel EyelinerNatasha Denona Nude Work and Set Gel Eyeliner ($ 24.00 for 0.17 oz.) Is a light peach with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, slightly emollient consistency that was thin, spreadable, and easy to work with with various eyeliner brushes. It applied evenly to my lash line and set fast enough not to get into my fine lines, but it gave me enough time to perfect it.

The color lasted a good 10 hours before fading / thinning on my lower lash line, and after the full 16 hours I tested it for, there was about 60% left (because the brand claims it is).

Also, it would have been nice if this shade was called beige or peach as this is really more of the color it is, as opposed to “nude” which is a concept, not a specific color.

Formula overview

$ 24.00 / 0.17 oz. – $ 141.18 per ounce

The formula is said to stay “without smudging or transferring” for 16 hours and at the same time to be “flexible and convenient”. They should have “full coverage” and the “liquid precision of a liquid eyeliner”. They worked well for me as eyeliner, although I also tried them as a cream eyeshadow / base as they had a texture that worked well for all use, but I found that as eyeshadows they wrinkled faster than fade / thin out as an eyeliner.

The texture was smooth, pliable and not too thick or thin and had the flowability of a gel-based eyeliner but the coverage of a cream. It was easy to work with a selection of eyeliner brushes. The formula dried off pretty quickly, but not so quickly that I felt like I had to hurry while I was working with it. Once cured, it stayed well in place for 10 hours before it looked thinner / slightly faded, and after 16 hours it was pretty much intact – I’d say about 70% remained.

Brown

Natasha Denona Brown Work and Set Gel EyelinerNatasha Denona Brown Work and Set Gel Eyeliner ($ 24.00 for 0.17 oz.) Is a medium brown with subtle, warm red undertones and a matte finish. The texture was smooth, slightly emollient, and had good lubricity that was quick drying – I felt like this particular shade dried faster than others.

Apply well with an angled eyeliner brush and apply an even, mostly covering power in one layer. The eyeliner held up well for 10 hours before looking a little worn, although it was about 70% intact after the 16 hours of wear for which it was marketed.

The formula is said to stay “without smudging or transferring” for 16 hours and at the same time to be “flexible and convenient”. They should have “full coverage” and the “liquid precision of a liquid eyeliner”. They worked fine for me as eyeliner, although I tried them as a cream eyeshadow / base as well as they had a texture that worked well for all use, but I found that as eyeshadows they wrinkled faster than fade / thin out as an eyeliner.

black

Natasha Denona Black Work and Set Gel EyelinerNatasha Denona Black Work and Set Gel Eyeliner ($ 24.00 for 0.17 oz.) Is a deep black with neutral undertones and a mostly matte finish. It had an opaque paint cover in a single swipe that ran smoothly over my skin without pulling. It has even coverage when I applied the brush to my lash line.

The formula dried off a bit quickly, but I didn’t feel too rushed to work, and it made sure the eyeliner didn’t get pulled into my fine lines as it set. It wore well for 10 hours before it looked thinner / slightly faded, and it was about 70 & intact after the promised 16 hours.
