Natasha Denona Black Macro Blade Liquid LinerNatasha Denona Black Macro Blade Liquid Liner ($ 26.00 for 0.02 ounce) is a deep black with neutral to cool undertones and a silky sheen. The formula is said to be “long-lasting” with a “deep black payout” that does not “smear, move or fade over time”. It definitely didn’t dry off to a completely matte / matte finish, even though it didn’t shimmer visibly – just moderately shiny.
It had opaque paint coverage, and the paint continued to apply evenly and with full coverage as I drew lines and swirls for much longer than it would take in practice (as an eyeliner). It was easy to maneuver along the curvature of the lid as the tip was flexible without being slack, which also ensured comfortable working.
The “downside” was that it was almost too runny and slick, so it was necessary to use a faster stroke to avoid too much product in the beginning. The formula dried off quickly enough not to migrate, and it was very durable – definitely transfer-proof, smudge-proof, and seemingly waterproof. It was still strong after 16 hours of wear.
