IBM today announced the formation of its Elite Hybrid Cloud Build team. According to Big Blue, this group of AI and cloud computing experts was put together to bring their partners up to speed with the latest hybrid solution systems.
What? While the Elite Hybrid Cloud Build Team sounds like a crack team of futuristic Airborne Seabees, the reality is almost as cool. Via IBM:
The Elite Engagement team consists of over 100 cloud architects, data scientists, cloud developers, security specialists and developers who work on the agile joint development of advanced technology solutions for partners and their customers.
With decades of experience in Microsoft Azure, IBM Cloud, AWS and many other environments, the IBM Hybrid Cloud Build Team supports its ecosystem partners in revising workloads on all cloud platforms and providers while using new technologies such as AI, 5G, Kubernetes and Edge in order to optimize business operations and improve customer results.
In other words, the EHCBT helps companies connect their on-premise, on-cloud and other AI systems, regardless of the platform they are on.
Take quickly: It’s free … so there isn’t much to like. IBM is heavily invested in its own ecosystem so it can afford to do such things. And that’s good for partners and customers looking for a way out of single-vendor solutions.
IBM’s commitment to open source could play a role here too. So it’s definitely worth looking for executives and IT managers who may be considering integrating new technologies such as 5G or introducing AI systems into an already complex stack.
