Dior Hologlam Rouge Blush Evaluation & Swatches (2021)

Hollow (601)

Dior Hologlam (601) Rouge Rouge ($ 46.00 for 0.23 oz.) Has a light-medium, peach and coral base with iridescent pink and purple sparkles in a more satin-like finish. It had medium buildable pigmentation that applied evenly to bare skin and was easy to blend.

With my skin tone, the color came through subtle, but the shimmer / sheen was more noticeable because it stood out from the base color and my skin tone. It looked a little drier and a little more powdery than the original version, but the effect and color were pretty similar on my skin. This shade lasted a good eight and a half hours before fading a little.

Formula overview

$ 46.00 / 0.23 oz. – $ 200.00 per ounce

The formula is said to have an “intense, ultra-pigmented color that lasts,” although the brand under “Formula” states that it has “strong but buildable color”. Most of the shades I tried were fairly pigmented, but the denser, smoother consistency of the powder made it possible to apply less for buildable coverage as they were neither too powdery nor too stiff in the pan to work with. They were easy to apply, blended well, and lasted eight to nine hours. The powders had a floral scent, although I didn’t notice the scent when I applied it to my skin (more in the compact pack).
