PCA Skin Hydrating Toner is described as a soothing, daily use toner that removes excess debris and hydrates the skin. I’ll admit that I wasn’t super duper excited when this launched, because I had already met this toner in Arizona back in January 2018. At the time, she was a tiny tot, still in the development stages. I got to use this for a couple days and I knew this toner would be a star. And here she is! And here’s my review. Packaging PCA Skin Hydrating Toner is packaged in a 7 fl oz bottle with a flip cap and pump dispenser. Here’s a fun fact: When I visited PCA Skin, I mentioned that the flip top and pump dispenser was ingenious and deserves to be on ever toner for easy use. Imagine my surprise when I got this toner in the mail and there she was!! This design makes it simple to dispense product on a cotton ball or cotton pad without mess and spillage. Simply flip the cap open, place a cotton ball on the plastic pump and press down. Voila! Product! Key Ingredients The ingredients list is refreshing, to say the least. Apple fruit extract, watermelon fruit extract, lentil fruit extract, rosemary leaf oil, and evening primrose oil (great for hormonal acne) start the show, but the sodium lactate is what gives the toner its hydrating properties. Sodium lactate is a superior moisturizer, increasing the skin’s moisture content by up to 84%, second place to Hyaluronic Acid. My thoughts If you are seeking an added element of hydration to your routine, this toner is a great product to implement. You really can’t have too much hydration. The product has an herbal scent thanks to the rosemary leaf oil, but it does not linger on the skin very long at all. I cleansed first with PCA Skin Facial Wash (SRP $32), then I tone with the Hydrating Toner. It’s watery in texture like most toners and does not leave a sticky or greasy residue behind. While my skin is still a tad damp from the toner, I apply PCA Skin Hyaluronic Acid Boosting Serum (SRP $115) for the ultimate shot of hydration. This toner is great for all skin types, oily included (remember the more hydration the skin has, the less sebum your skin will produce to make up for the lack of hydration). Use after cleansing. Pair this with the Hey Aprill’s Pigment Perfecters kit if you suffer from discoloration. PCA Skin Hydrating Toner retails $40. Purchase using the links below: Dermstore | PCA Skin | Amazon
